On April 7, 1948 Daddy gave Mama our family bible. They had been married four months and she was now expecting her first child. She was 16, but she carefully began to record her family's history. 

Five weeks later, on the opposite side of the globe another historic milestone was being recorded

Compared to the birth of her son, the re-birth of a tiny nation almost 7,000 miles away meant very little to Mama (if she even knew of the event), but God had a plan.
